Her lawyer, Leonor Hennerick, confirmed the star was content with the outcome, describing the ruling as “a legal truth that has been established,” the AFP reports.

The verdict comes nearly nine years after Kardashian was bound, gagged, and held at gunpoint in what she has described as “the most terrifying experience of my life.” Speaking on behalf of another victim, hotel staff member Abderrahmane Ouatiki, his lawyer Mohand Ouijda said the decision was “calmly accepted” and marked the end of a long ordeal for those involved.

In total, nine men and one woman stood trial beginning in April. Prosecutors had pushed for severe sentences, including up to 10 years in prison for the four primary suspects accused of carrying out the robbery. However, the final verdicts were notably lighter. Aomar Ait Khedache, the 69-year-old ringleader known as part of the so-called "grandpa robbers," received three years in prison plus five years suspended. Due to time already served, none of the convicted will return to jail.

Two suspects accused of leaking Kardashian’s location were acquitted. The remaining defendants received significantly lighter penalties than those sought by prosecutors, raising some eyebrows but also bringing closure to a case that captured global media attention.

Kardashian, who was 35 at the time of the robbery, thanked the French authorities in a statement after the verdict, saying she was “deeply grateful for their pursuit of justice .”
