“During the operational search, it was established that the individual proactively established and maintained contact with a representative of Ukrainian intelligence via Telegram,” the agency stated.

The FSB alleged that from 2025, the suspect collected and shared information about facilities linked to the Russian Ministry of Defence, transport infrastructure , military-industrial and fuel-energy sites in the region.

“From 2025 onwards, he collected and transmitted information to the enemy regarding facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defence, transport infrastructure, military -industrial and fuel-energy complexes in the region, as well as military personnel involved in a special military operation (Ukraine conflict),” the agency added.

Russian authorities said the suspect is expected to face charges of high treason.
