Animes are steadily taking over the visual entertainment scene worldwide.

According to data provided by Parrot Analytics and created in a map by The World in Maps, while Japan remains the undisputed home of anime, countries as diverse as the United States, Philippines, France, and India are emerging as significant anime powerhouses. Here's a deep dive into the global landscape of anime enthusiasm.

The map shows that countries shaded in deep red represent regions where anime enjoys the highest levels of demand and cultural integration:

Countries shaded in orange, like the United States, India, and Brazil, show "very high" anime engagement:

Countries marked in pink and light pink, including Germany, Spain, Italy, Mexico , and Morocco, show consistent demand and growing fandoms. These regions host frequent anime screenings, cosplay events, and manga festivals, proving anime's soft power in shaping youth culture.

Countries in yellow and grey, such as parts of Africa, Central Asia , and the Middle East, show “low” or “untracked” levels of anime engagement. This may reflect a combination of limited streaming access, cultural barriers, or different entertainment preferences.
