Melania Trump denies ties to Jeffrey Epstein in rare public statement: Video
US First Lady Melania Trump on Thursday denied having any meaningful relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, addressing the issue publicly for the first time in a rare statement delivered in Washington, D.C.
“I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell,” Melania said. “My email reply to Maxwell cannot be categorised as anything more than casual correspondence.”
She added that a brief email exchange with Maxwell should not be interpreted as evidence of a deeper connection.
“My polite reply to her email doesn't amount to anything more than a trivial note. I am not Epstein's victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump,” she said.
