Global South World's mission is to cover the stories that other international media ignore. We believe that perceptions of countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America are often outdated and out of touch with today's reality.

By telling more stories from these countries, by journalists who understand them, we want to change this.

One reason these countries don't get the coverage they need and deserve is because the financial system which supports the media is misaligned. Advertisers mainly want to reach audiences in Europe and the US.

Subscriptions are unaffordable in many countries. Search engines and social media platforms also favour stories that are already being reported by other media usually based in the Global North,

We believe that news itself has a value. Global South World employs journalists in Africa, Asia and Latin America to cover stories that others don't.
