Emilia Arellano is a Research Fellow at the GIGA Institute for Latin American Studies. Her research focuses on the executive power, political institutions, and power relations. She is currently involved in a project that analyses the personalisation of executive power in different political contexts. Emilia holds a law degree and a Master of Arts in Public Economics, Law and Politics, and has contributed to several research initiatives on governance and democracy in Latin America.
