Football in Africa has witnessed a rather impressive rise and global recognition over the years. African players have made iconic strides in the world of European football leagues, breaking barriers and demonstrating exceptional talent.

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah – Liverpool FC
The 2017 African Footballer of the Year also won bragging rights as Premiere League Player of the Season in 2017/2018 after scoring 32 goals for Liverpool FC in a single season.
The former AS Roma player is also on record for his three-time Golden Boot Award, an award for the Premier League’s top scorer of the season.

Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Marseille
The French-born forward has played for several prominent leagues in Europe. Aside from Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona, he has also played for Chelsea.

Morocco’s Hakim Ziyech – Chelsea FC
