Argentina's Senate on Friday approved a penal reform that would lower the age of criminal responsibility from 16 to 14.

The measure was passed with 44 votes in favor, 27 against, and one abstention.

The bill, backed by President Javier Milei, is among several reforms the libertarian president has been hoping to pass through Congress, which on Friday was also set to debate his controversial labor reform.
