U.S. President Donald Trump's estimated fortune has climbed to $6.5 billion, driven largely by cryptocurrency ventures, cash holdings and gains in parts of his property and licensing businesses, according to Forbes.
Forbes' March 2026 assessment put Trump's wealth $1.4 billion higher than a year earlier, when it estimated his fortune at $5.1 billion. The latest figure also represents a sharp turnaround from 2024, when Forbes valued him at about $2.3 billion.
The biggest change has come from crypto. Forbes estimates Trump's cryptocurrency and liquid assets at about $2.1 billion, including roughly $1.3 billion in liquid assets and $393 million in memecoin tokens. It said his cryptocurrency ventures added an estimated $1.8 billion to his fortune overall following his 2024 election victory.
His traditional businesses still account for billions. Forbes values Trump's golf clubs and resorts at about $1.5 billion. Mar-a-Lago alone was valued at $564 million in March, up more than 50% from a year earlier.

His stake in Trump Media & Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social, was valued at around $1.2 billion in Forbes' March assessment. That was significantly lower than a year earlier as the company's share price fell, partly offsetting gains elsewhere in Trump's portfolio.
Trump's other assets, including licensing and management businesses, aircraft and other holdings, were worth an estimated $551 million. Forbes' calculations also take account of debts and other liabilities rather than simply adding the headline value of his properties and businesses.
The longer-term change is striking. Forbes estimated Trump at $3.1 billion in 2019, before his fortune fell to $2.1 billion in 2020. It later recovered to $3 billion in 2022, slipped to $2.3 billion in 2024 and then jumped to $5.1 billion in 2025 and $6.5 billion in 2026.
The latest estimate also placed Trump 645th among the world's 3,428 billionaires, up from 700th in 2025.
