Eisenhower Aircraft Carrier Enters Persian Gulf

CENTCOM announced that the Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier has entered the Persian Gulf after passing through the Strait of Hormuz, based on their Twitter post.
The mission includes supporting CENTCOM operations in the region and ensuring free navigation in the international waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The aircraft carrier is accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea, the guided-missile destroyer USS Gravely (DDG 107), the destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63), and the French frigate FS Languedoc (D 653).
The deployment is part of U.S. efforts to deter the Islamic Republic and its proxy forces and prevent the spread of the Gaza war.
