‘Golden toilet’ art installation near Lincoln Memorial mocks Trump’s White House bathroom remodel: Video
Hundreds of visitors gathered near the Lincoln Memorial on Washington DC’s National Mall on Monday, March 30, to view and photograph a ten-foot-tall satirical art installation known as the “golden toilet.”
The installation, placed on a faux-marble pedestal, attracted crowds who took selfies and posed for photos. The artwork was created to mock President Donald Trump’s remodelling of the Lincoln Bathroom at the White House last year. The piece is titled “A Throne Fit For A King.”
The installation was put in place by a protest group known as the “Secret Handshake.” The group has created a series of satirical statues targeting President Trump and his allies since he took office.
