Orbán vows political comeback after election defeat in Hungary: Video
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has pledged to reorganise his party and remain a major force in national politics following an election defeat to the opposition.
In an address released on Monday, April 13, Orbán said his alliance would begin restructuring in the coming weeks after losing ground in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.
“In the coming weeks we will reorganise ourselves, visit every constituency, and convene our volunteers, activists, representatives, and candidates,” Orbán said. “On April 28, we will hold a national assembly meeting. Today, the work has begun.”
Orbán noted that more than 2.25 million voters had backed the ruling alliance of Fidesz and KDNP in the vote.
