Netanyahu accuses Iran of renewing nuclear weapons push
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran on Thursday of renewing efforts to acquire nuclear weapons, hours after US President Donald Trump warned of activity at a deeply buried Iranian nuclear site.
"They are trying again," Netanyahu said at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. "As long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons."
Trump had earlier pointed to "a little activity" at Pickaxe Mountain, a fortified site near Iran's damaged Natanz uranium enrichment facility, and threatened further US strikes if it continued.
Satellite imagery analysed by the Center for Strategic and International Studies shows increased construction at the site. Researchers, however, said the images could not confirm reports that centrifuges had been moved there and assessed that the facility did not yet appear capable of enriching uranium.
Iran is also reportedly rebuilding military capabilities damaged by US and Israeli strikes, including assembling ballistic missiles at underground facilities, although production remains below previous levels.

Netanyahu said Israel was continuing operations against what he called the "Iranian axis" in Gaza and Lebanon.
