Trump nominates Troy Edgar as US ambassador to El Salvador
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is nominating Troy Edgar as the next U.S. ambassador to El Salvador.
Edgar was most recently a deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security.
"El Salvador is one of our most important partners in the region... Troy will play a key role in advancing our Western Hemisphere strategy," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
