Zelensky accuses US of diverting missiles to Middle East as Ukraine awaits supplies
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged US President Donald Trump to supply Ukraine with missiles, claiming that existing agreements are not being fulfilled because American weapons are being redirected to the Middle East.
Speaking in an interview with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO, published Thursday, Zelensky said European countries had already agreed to pay for the weapons but deliveries had stalled.
“There are agreements in place. But they don’t give them to us. They say, ‘We can’t.’ They’re sending everything - and have sent everything - to the Middle East,” Zelensky claimed.
His remarks come amid growing tensions between Kyiv and Washington following disagreements over US military support and intelligence-sharing.
Ukraine recently accused the United States of restricting intelligence-sharing and Starlink services, allegations denied by the White House.
