Colo Colo fans give World Cup star Vozinha hero's welcome
Colo Colo supporters gathered at Santiago's Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport on Sunday to welcome Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar Jose Evora Dias, known as Vozinha, following his impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Footage showed fans chanting, waving flags and holding banners as Vozinha arrived from Europe before greeting supporters alongside Colo Colo sporting director Daniel Moron.
The 40-year-old thanked fans for their support before leaving for the team hotel.
Supporter Diego Gonzalez described Vozinha as an "incredible player" and said his arrival would strengthen both the team and the club's profile.
Another fan, Jose, called the signing "atypical" for South American football and urged supporters to back the goalkeeper from the outset.

Vozinha is scheduled to undergo medical examinations on Monday before joining his new teammates for his first training session on Tuesday, when he is also expected to be officially unveiled at Monumental Stadium.
