Ecuador appoints Sariha Belen Moya as new economy minister
Ecuadorean President Daniel Noboa appointed Sariha Belen Moya as the new economy minister, replacing Luis Alberto Jaramillo, the government said in a decree on Wednesday.
Moya previously led the National Planning Secretariat.
Noboa also appointed Jaramillo as minister of production and foreign trade.
On Sunday, Noboa and the country's electoral authority declared his victory, securing a full four-year term. His leftist rival, Luisa Gonzalez, denounced the result as a "grotesque"" fraud.
