Empty cells and orange jumpsuits: ISIS detainees missing after Syrian prison falls to government forces - Video

A prison in northeastern Syria that once held thousands of suspected Islamic State detainees was left deserted this week after Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) units withdrew and transitional government troops moved into the area, according to local reports and footage from the site.

Images from Al-Shaddadi Prison in the southern countryside of Hasakah province showed empty corridors littered with orange detainee uniforms following the takeover on Thursday, January 22.
