India foreign minister to visit Maldives

India's Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will visit the Maldives from Friday to Sunday, New Delhi said in a statement on Thursday.

Jaishankar's visit comes months after ties between the two nations were strained after Maldives President Mohamad Muizzu, elected last year, pledged to end the country's "India First" policy.
