Iran, Russia strengthen cooperation after key meeting: Video

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he held a “very good” meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin lasting more than 90 minutes following talks in St. Petersburg on Monday, April 27.

Araghchi said the discussions produced constructive ideas and opened the door for deeper cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.

“Very good ideas were put forward, and there are now very good grounds for cooperation,” he said, adding that Putin praised the resilience of the Iranian people.

According to Araghchi, the Russian leader said that “not only Russia, but the whole world is studying the Iranian people for their steadfastness in the face of America and, in essence, for their victory in this unequal and unfair war.”
