Maduro and Flores receive first consular visit while awaiting US trial: Video
During a broadcast on state channel VTV, Venezuela’s Interior and Justice Minister Diosdado Cabello confirmed that Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have received their first consular visit while being held in a federal prison in New York as they await trial.
The visit, carried out on 30 January by a Venezuelan official, was confirmed by Interior and Justice Minister Diosdado Cabello, who said it was conducted under international law to ensure the couple could communicate freely with representatives of their government.
