Bolivia protesters march for democracy amid ongoing crisis: Video
Hundreds of people took to the streets in Bolivia’s Santa Cruz for a “Great March for Democracy,” as the country faces a deepening political and social crisis.
Protesters marched through main avenues before gathering in the city’s central square, with healthcare workers, students and civic groups joining the demonstration.
Participants voiced anger over ongoing road blockades disrupting the transport of food, fuel and medical services, and criticised both the groups behind the disruptions and the government’s response.
The march comes as Bolivia continues to grapple with unrest, shortages and rising tensions linked to supporters of former president Evo Morales.
