Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has called for a full investigation into allegations of electoral fraud raised by Colombian President Gustavo Petro following Colombia’s first-round presidential election.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, June 1, Sheinbaum stressed the importance of ensuring that the will of voters is respected and said Petro’s concerns should be carefully examined.
"The will of the people must always prevail in any election," Sheinbaum said. "It is important to listen to what President Petro is saying, analyse it, and ensure that the popular will is respected."
