Namibian police have arrested an Angolan man in possession of 67 cocaine bullets at the country’s international airport in Windhoek.

The police said on Saturday that the man was intercepted and searched at the airport on arrival from Ethiopia, travelling through Ethiopian Airlines.

“He was discovered in possession of 67 cocaine bullets concealed in his underwear and pants while travelling from Ethiopia on Ethiopian Airlines. On Monday, the 49-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court,’’ deputy commissioner of the Namibian police Kauna Shikwambi is quoted by local news media the Namibian.

This arrest is the second cocaine bust in four days by the Southern African nation’s law enforcement, Shikwambi said.

“It is clear from the two incidents that were discovered that Namibia has a sizable cocaine market. As a society, we must work together to combat these foreign and Namibian criminals who smuggle illegal drugs into our nation through a variety of entrance points. We owe it to people who keep reporting these kinds of actions and any suspicions to the police as a force,” she added.
