Palestinian medical students in Cuba highlight solidarity programme
Around 240 Palestinian students are studying medicine in Cuba under a long-standing scholarship programme aimed at supporting those affected by conflict.
The initiative, based at the Latin American School of Medicine, offers free education to students from Gaza and beyond, many of whom face limited access to higher education at home. Participants say the programme not only provides professional training but also reflects shared struggles and values, particularly as Palestinians mark Nakba Day and continue to face ongoing hardship.
