Argentina creates world’s largest alfajor: Video
A town in Argentina’s Patagonia region has set a new record by creating the world’s largest alfajor, weighing more than 1,200 kilograms.
The massive dessert was unveiled during the Patagonian Alfajor Festival in Lago Puelo, where pastry chefs worked for over a week to complete the project. Made with layers of chocolate, dulce de leche and fruit filling, the alfajor was assembled in sections before being put together in the town’s main square. The event drew locals and tourists, boosting regional tourism as the giant dessert was finally cut and shared with the public.
