Venezuelan opposition politician Superlano released from house arrest

Venezuelan politician Freddy Superlano, a leader of the opposition Voluntad Popular party, on Friday had a house arrest order lifted, a video posted on his Instagram account showed, as part of a limited amnesty bill passed this month in the South American country.
In the video an official from the national police can be seen and heard reading a release order, before a technician removes an ankle monitor from Superlano.
Superlano was released from prison on February 8 and placed under house arrest. His arrest after the 2024 presidential elections was captured on a video showing him being pushed into the back of an unmarked car surrounded by armed security agents.
